Stephen A. Tagge joined Sorling Northrup in 1970 after initiating his practice in Springfield in 1969. He concentrates his practice in banking, bankruptcy, transactions, construction and commercial litigation. He represents many privately held corporations, doing corporate work for them on a daily basis. He regularly represents parties regarding significant real estate matters including, by way of example, hotels, a parcel of more than 10,000 acres of farmland, a large former manufacturing site, as well as many other commercial and residential properties.
Mr. Tagge has participated as a lecturer and author in continuing legal education courses in banking, secured transactions, mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, and environmental duties of buyers and sellers of real estate. His clients’ positions have been affirmed during cases before the appellate courts, including a challenged annexation of our client’s property and the rezoning of a 200-acre parcel.
