Jerry S. Bauer

Jerry S. Bauer concentrates his practice in estate planning and estate administration. He helps individuals and families plan by drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. Jerry also helps families navigate legal nuances of filing wills, opening probate, and managing trusts. Jerry also has years of experience helping to establish, reorganize, dissolve, and aiding not-for-profits in filing the appropriate initial and annual documents with state and federal agencies. He also helps clients with real estate transactions and organizing businesses.

Jerry joined Sorling Northrup in 2023 after working for years at a firm in Jacksonville, Illinois. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in philosophy from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He earned a Master’s in philosophy from Loyola University Chicago and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.

Jerry is proud to be an Eagle Scout and is a member of Kiwanis – Downtown Springfield.
