James R. Enlow, a Springfield native, joined Sorling Northrup in June, 2026. Mr. Enlow graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985 and from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1988. After working as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, Mr. Enlow has been engaged with other local firms in the private practice of law for the past 35 years.

At Sorling Northrup, Mr. Enlow will continue to practice in the areas of bankruptcy, estate planning, probate and trust administration, real estate, and transactions. Mr. Enlow is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
