Chelsea L. Nuss

Chelsea L. Nuss first joined Sorling Northrup in 2024 as a summer associate and returned following her graduation from law school in 2025. Chelsea was admitted to practice law on November 5, 2025.

Originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, Chelsea graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois Springfield with a B.A. in Environmental Studies (2022). She went on to graduate magna cum laude with her Juris Doctor from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University (2025) in White Plains, NY. While in law school, Chelsea focused on community outreach, interning in chambers for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York under the Honorable Judge Kenneth Karas, volunteering for the Legal Hand Call-In Center offering free legal services to the Westchester community, and working as a student intern for the Equal Justice America Disability Rights Clinic.

Chelsea is a member of the Illinois State and Sangamon County Bar Associations.
