creditors, as well as serving as attorney for creditor committees
during reorganizations. The firm frequently represents both local
and out-of-state creditors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the
Central District of Illinois.
Although it represents debtors less frequently, Sorling has represented
corporate debtors in reorganizations and individuals and corporations
in liquidations. Debtor practice has included successful Chapter
11 reorganization plans, including reorganizations involving over
100 creditors.
Sorling attorneys have served as bankruptcy trustees and attorneys
for bankruptcy trustees. A Sorling attorney served as standing
Chapter 12 Trustee during a significant surge in farm bankruptcies
during the 1980s.
