E. Zachary Dinardo is a shareholder in the law firm of Sorling, Northrup, Hanna, Cullen & Cochran, Ltd., concentrating his practice in the areas of health law and general business law.
Mr. Dinardo represents a wide variety of interests in the health care industry, including integrated delivery systems, hospitals, physicians, long-term care facilities, mental health clinics, billing services, provider associations, and ancillary service providers. He advises clients in the areas of compliance programs and investigations, Stark, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, EMTALA, reimbursement, contract preparation, joint ventures, managed care, antitrust, medical staff relations, real estate, licensing, tax-exemption, and corporate restructuring. He has lectured on a variety of health law topics, including compliance programs and investigations, informed consent, HIPAA, Stark, and EMTALA. Mr. Dinardo also represents individual health care providers, such as physicians, dentists, chiropractors, nurses and pharmacists, in matters involving the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. He maintains active memberships in the Health Law Section of the Illinois State Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, and the Health Care Compliance Association.
Mr. Dinardo also advises clients in connection with the formation of business entities, including S corporations, limited liability companies, and not-for-profit corporations. His representation includes matters such as contract preparation, real estate transactions, asset acquisitions and sales, and determinations of tax-exempt status. He also represents clients in court in matters affecting their business interests. For example, he represents health care, banking, and construction clients in collection matters. He has also argued cases on appeal in the Fourth District Appellate Court of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
